The Broncos may have to wait until 2019 to get another high-profile draft pick in 2018, according to a report.
The Denver Post reported Thursday that the Broncos will need to trade up to select a receiver in the 2019 NFL Draft to avoid the team being saddled with a large cap hit next year.
The Broncos, who traded up to No. 5 overall in 2018 to select cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, could be looking to move up to the top of the draft, where they’d like to pick up a receiver with the No. 1 pick in 2019.
However, the team has struggled to find receivers this year.
The Broncos currently rank 22nd in the NFL with just seven wide receivers on the roster.
